Bamboo Copter Analysis

I. Introduction.

The bamboo copter is known as a bamboo dragonfly, is a traditional toy that has several blades. It can fly by spinning.

In this blog, we simulate a bamboo copter with 2 blades.

II. Approach.

The bamboo copter is calculated by pimpleFoam solver with sixDoFRigidBodyMotion set up in dynamicMeshDic.

Design:

Moment of inertia:    Ix = Iy          =  0.000018755625 kg.m^2
